Getting Started

Required kit

Racers must bring the following kit to scruitinering along with their wristband, failure to do so will mean you and your bike will not pass scruitineering.

Helmets

Must be full face motocross helment with ACU silver or Gold standard sticker.

Boots (to be worn to scruitineering)

Footwear must be clearly above the ankle ball, either Motocross boots, Minibike boots or a sturdy ankle boot, ie walking boots, works boots etc. Hi top trainers will not protect your ankles.

The following are mandatory whilst on track but not necessary at scruitineering. Riders going to parc ferme without regulation kit will not be allowed to the line, its is your responsibility to be ready to race.

Gloves

Full finger.

Goggles

Eye protection strongly recommended.

Bottom half

Racers are permitted to wear any type of long trouser, be it MX pants, Jeans or leathers providing they are not too baggy ansd likely to catch in the competitors machiner. Shorts: Racers are allowed to use shorts providing they are below/past the knee and worn in conjunction with knee and shin pad protection. The should be no “naked skin” visible if possible and thigh length MX type socks are strongly recommended to be warn underneath the pads/shorts to minimise risk to exposed skin.

Top Half

Long sleeve shirts / tops to be worn by all competitors. Short sleeve shirts are permitted providing the rider has forearm and elbow pads/protectors in place. The basic rule of thumb is to cover as much skin as possible.

Pads

All riders are encouraged to wear as much in the way of safety protection as possible. Prevention is the best cure, its in your interests to protect yourself and avoid cutting a days racing due to an avoidable injury.
